Dear time and space hunter brothers, here I come! Although our section usually discusses dungeons and arenas, today I want to amuse a game that I have been playing on my commute recently, called "The Mists of the Tang Dynasty". Don't rush away, listen to me talk about why I, a social worker who works overtime until nine every day, still have the energy to touch it.
Let's talk about my daily life first. I'm on the subway at 7:30 in the morning, and my mobile phone signal is often stuck in PPT mode. I only have a one-hour lunch break at noon, and I have to leave half an hour to cook dinner. In the past, when playing those serious games, I either didn't have enough physical strength, or the activities had to be online on time, and I was kicked out of the guild accidentally. Later, I couldn't get enough of it, so I started looking for games that “you can pick it up and play it, put it down and walk away”.
What irritates me most about this game is that it doesn't force you to go online! It is an ancient-style plot development game. The main story does not require you to watch the countdown and fight for BOSS. I usually just watch the plot and make choices on the subway. When it comes to this plot, it's really over the top, with family hatred, national hatred, and sadomasochism. Once the options came out, I had to struggle for a long time. It was more brain-consuming than doing PPT at work, but I just couldn't stop. The key is that the plot progress can be archived at any time. When you reach the station, you can directly lock the screen and continue selecting next time without any burden at all.
During my lunch break, I prefer to play with its face-shaping and dress-changing systems. Ah, I must praise this! The high degree of freedom in pinching faces is not an exaggeration. I, a handicap person like me, can make a girl who looks three-thirds like Liu Yifei. Then there are all kinds of 3D costumes, such as chest-length skirts and men's clothing, and the free fabrics are enough for me to put together several outfits. Sometimes I can enjoy myself for ten minutes just to take a few pictures and post them on Moments. Isn't this better than watching short videos to decompress?
There are also its business development and mansion decoration methods, which are especially suitable for me to quietly click a few times when fishing at the work station. Planting flowers, harvesting vegetables, and arranging furniture doesn't require any thinking, but it's very therapeutic to watch your little house become richer and richer. When the leader came over for inspection, I switched directly to the Excel interface without any pressure. Because no one in the game is calling you crazy on the world channel to form a team, and no one is asking you in private messages why you don't join the battle, it's simply a paradise for I-players.
Some people may say, is this kind of game too stand-alone? Actually no, it has a chamber of commerce building gameplay, and you can add a gang aspect, but the pace is very slow. In the chamber of commerce I joined, everyone was an office worker like me, and they didn't push you to contribute at all. Occasionally go up and have a chat, share what new cards you have drawn, or complain about working overtime, which is actually much more comfortable than that kind of forced social interaction. As for PK battles and official promotions, to be honest, I haven't studied them in depth because the plot and costume changes are too attractive to me, but I heard that it will be quite interesting in the later stages.
Anyway, I think what we office workers who play games lack most is time. Playing Time Hunter used to be really exciting, but now I really can't get enough of it. A "pause at any time, never lose" game like "The Rain of the Tang Dynasty" has become a source of happiness for me. It can be played very comfortably without spending money. At least for now, I have zero charge, and I can dress my daughter up beautifully with the resources provided in the game.
Finally, I sincerely recommend that friends who are also social animals, if you are also looking for a game that you can play twice on the subway, during lunch break, or while squatting, you can try this. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, it's a game, no matter how prosperous life is, if we can take a moment of leisure, we are the winners. I'm going to finish today's plot first, otherwise I'll have to work overtime again tonight and run out of time, haha.
