I have to say, I recently got hooked on "Crazy Marble Smash"! 😤
Here's what happened: a couple of days ago, I saw a promo image on the homepage. Wow, the coloring of that marble was just perfect, very much like the coin cannon of Mikoto-senpai in "A Certain Scientific Railgun," with a bit of the sharp, gem-like texture from "Land of the Lustrous." It immediately hit my xp (crossed out) aesthetic! I thought to myself, this game must be a super delicate marble RPG, maybe with some plot crossovers and a cast of voice actors... But when I clicked in, downloaded it, and opened it—this??? Just marbles hitting blocks??? 😨
I almost uninstalled it right there. Isn't this a scam? I'm a宅 (otaku) who only goes for anime art styles, how could I get into this kind of "physics-based fun" game?
But you know what? I have a bad habit—once I start a game, I want to complete it, and the simpler the game, the more addictive it gets. When the bricks shatter and the marble ricochets, it secretly reminds me of the banana peel Okabe was playing with in the lab in "Steins;Gate" (those who know, know). The pacing is crazy fast; a swipe of my finger, and scores jump; the sound effects give a nice "thump thump thump" hit feeling—surprisingly… stress-relieving?? 😳
Now I have to play a few rounds every night before bed. I feel like a "Marble Saint" summoned from another world, one hit, crushing all the numbered blocks—more fun than grinding for dog food. Character illustrations? None. But it's fine; imagination is enough! After all, the marble is my waifu (not really), and the blocks are my enemies, special effects opening sequence! 💥
In short, even though this game doesn't have paper-thin waifus or fancy voice actors, it used the simplest marble to stubbornly keep a guy like me who originally came for the visuals. How about you?
