At first, I didn't even understand how to make moves. I just saw a top player stick figure rushing at me, and I frantically pressed the control wheel. As a result, my character started spinning in place and then plummeted straight into the lava... I was stunned on the spot, thinking, how can this game make you fall by yourself! Later, I realized that the direction keys and attack keys are linked. Excited, I pushed the control wheel to the very edge, triggering some skill that basically sent myself off 😭
The funniest thing was once, after finally pushing an opponent to the edge of the lava, I felt so pleased with myself. But then, when I tried to jump over to finish them off, my hand slipped and I fell too. The system counted it as mutual destruction, but somehow I still won? When the victory animation popped up, I laughed uncontrollably, and my opponent was probably just as confused, haha.
And that weapon-specific skill—I still don't fully get it. Sometimes I slide to the edge and nothing happens for ages, but other times, suddenly a big move launches, and it sends even my teammates into the air. One time, I was clearly trying to run left, but accidentally triggered a tornado-like skill; the whole screen shook, and I watched helplessly as I flew from one end of the map to the other and ended up hanging on a cliff… luckily I didn't fall, otherwise I'd just be laughing at myself again.
But honestly, even though I often end up accidentally dying, it's really addictive! The stages are so varied—some places have bridges, some places collapse, and I keep misstepping. The weapons are also super weird. I once grabbed a big hammer, and when swinging it, I flew out even before the hammer did. Absolutely crazy.
Are there any other beginners here? Have you guys ever triggered strange skills by accident? Or maybe any pros can teach me how to control the wheel without slipping 😢 I feel like this game can make you soar through the skies if you're good, but if not, you're just a little lava-jumping expert… but I still love it, being bad but happy!
