I originally thought it would be one of those hardcore Three Kingdoms games about military strategy, power struggles, and fighting, but... well, I ended up playing as a happy farmer. Can you believe it!
I'm the type of girl who especially enjoys management and nurturing games, usually liking to decorate small houses and take care of cats and dogs. This time, a friend told me about a game where you can "build houses" and invited me to play. When I saw "Kings of Heroes," my first thought was: Oh no, another game where I'm supposed to be a female general leading troops into battle. I definitely can't handle that 😣
But after playing, I found out, hey, you can circle your own small territory, slowly build houses, upgrade buildings, farm, and gather resources. It's really soothing! Watching a small empty plot gradually turn into a bustling little city gives a strange sense of satisfaction, like tending my own little yard 🏡
Also, although the generals are all big historical figures from the Three Kingdoms, their character art is surprisingly handsome? Honestly, I really like one of the young generals—he feels like a character you could pursue in a nurturing game haha. Even though I'm not great at lineup strategy, I gradually learned to place a few attractive ones together, and seeing them fight side by side is surprisingly exciting?
But most of the time, I just run around my territory, watching the little figures work, harvest vegetables, and gather resources. The whole process is very relaxed, without the pressure of "rushing the rankings," and I can control the pace myself. Everyone in the alliance is pretty friendly too; even a newbie like me gets patient guidance when I ask questions, and they compliment my well-decorated territory, hehe~
The only annoyance is probably... resources are always insufficient. I keep getting addicted to decorating and upgrading, then end up checking game guides on how to stockpile resources, instantly feeling like a meticulous little manager haha.
In short, if you're like me and not too interested in "world domination," but enjoy watching your little territory grow prosperous day by day, this game is worth a try. You can play without spending money, and even a casual player like me finds joy, showing that the game is really accommodating~
