I was randomly browsing the Android store and came across a little game called 'Only One Door.' It's free to download, with no in-app purchases listed. My first reaction was, 'Is this for real? Are there still developers doing charity these days?' But when I clicked in to check the description, it really is just a pure single-player game—no ads, no stamina system, none of that annoying daily sign-in stuff.

The gameplay is simple: you control a little character to jump from one door to another. The art style is 2D sketch-like, very bright and pleasant on the eyes. The controls are super easy—tap the screen to jump; no need to memorize combos or special moves. This design actually has a Nintendo-like vibe: 'easy enough for kids, but masters can play creatively.'

The developer is called Hainan Xingkong Tiandong Technology—I've never heard of them before. But what they do is more respectable than those self-proclaimed 'AAA studios'—they just make games honestly, don't charge money, and don't try to teach you morals. Nowadays, finding a mobile game that doesn't push first top-ups, limited-time packs, or force you to join a guild is rarer than finding a pearl in a cesspool.

If I have to point out drawbacks, the game probably lacks deep storylines and flashy effects. But its purpose is exactly to be something you can pick up and play for a couple of rounds during your commute or a bathroom break to relieve stress. I'm not some hardcore gamer snob; being able to have a clean, quick game to enjoy in your spare moments is more than enough for me.

This game is available on both iOS and Android, so just search and play. Since it's free, there's no harm in giving it a try. 😎
