When I first entered the game, I was completely confused—there was Spirit Arts, Spirit Generals, and even Spirit Pets, Celestial Birds, and Demons… my head was buzzing. At that time, I thought the male protagonist Zhao Tianxing looked pretty handsome, so I blindly threw all the beginner resources on him, thinking that if I made just one character strong enough, I could be invincible. But later, I drew an even stronger Spirit General and realized I had no resources left to train it, so I could only watch helplessly. I really want to remind everyone not to focus too much at the beginning. Look at your lineup carefully before allocating resources, or you'll end up like me and experience what it means to 'lose at the starting line' 😫
Another drawback is the plot. I'm an impatient person, and I kept clicking 'skip' right from the start, so after playing for a while, I had no idea what was happening in the spirit world. I only saw a bunch of fragmented scenes, like modern cities and the decline of the spirit world. Later, I found out that the female protagonist, Lin Qianyin, actually comes from a modern city and, together with Zhao Tianxing, bears the mission of saving the spirit world. There are also many hidden secrets along the way. Because I didn't pay attention to the story, now I have to rely on other posts to catch up. Everyone, please don't follow my example—reading the story properly is actually quite interesting! 🥲
The worst time was when I thought I was really strong and took my newly trained spirit general straight to challenge a boss that looked very high-level. At that moment, I was so confident, thinking I could win with just one combo of skills. Guess what happened? I got sent back home in less than three rounds, wasting an entire bar of stamina, and I just sat there staring at the screen, questioning my life. Later, a helpful veteran told me that I need to match spirit pets and celestial creatures properly, and also pay attention to attribute disadvantages—going in recklessly won't work. Sigh, the newbie period really is just a process of paying tuition.
But having said that, this game really suits my taste. The graphics are especially exquisite, the spirit pets are cute, and the spirit control techniques sound really cool. The key point is that it's free! For a student like me who spends nothing, it's very friendly~ Plus, I can feel that there are so many worldviews hidden behind this game, like the rise and fall of the spirit world, the meeting of two people, and even deeper mysteries, making me want to explore more the more I play.
Although I still have many things I don't understand, such as how exactly to form a team, which spirit generals are worth focusing on, and whether the story will have twists later on...
