First, let me say something: I am a loyal Demon Slayer fan. When I first saw the name of this game, I was thinking, what is this? Another IP cash-in, right? But I downloaded it with the mindset of 'I'll just take a look,' and ended up playing from 10 PM to 3 AM… Seriously, the feeling of adventuring together with Tanjiro and the others is just so thrilling.
This game is made quite thoughtfully; it's not the kind of mindless idle game where you just let it run. What I like most is the pace that's perfect for slowly thinking things through late at night. Have you ever experienced that feeling? Playing mobile games during the day always feels like you're rushing, with arenas, events, and limited-time missions making it feel like clocking in at work. But 'Saving the Little Universe' is different. I can quietly study team formations, then put my phone aside and watch them play dungeons and progress through maps on their own.
Its lineup system is quite interesting, divided into four factions: Fire, Water, Wind & Thunder, and Blood Vampire. To be honest, at first I just mindlessly stuffed people into the Fire faction, thinking that high damage output was the ultimate strategy. But later on, I realized that those seemingly inconspicuous characters in the Blood Vampire faction are super useful in certain storyline dungeons! Especially in one stage, you have to use that... oh, I suddenly can't remember the name 😅 Anyway, it's an edge character, and using them completely turned the tide of the battle. I was so excited at the time that I almost tipped over my instant noodles.
Oh, and that special story dungeon really does bring 'Minor Character A' back. I used to always think that in anime card games, supporting characters are just there to complete your collection. But here, you really get the chance to let these usually unnoticed characters step into the spotlight and shine through strategy. This kind of design gives you a very strange feeling, kind of like being alone in bed late at night and suddenly realizing that you too can shine—a tiny touch of emotion. 🤧
Ah… talking like this, how did I start feeling emo? Maybe staying up late really made me stupid. But honestly, if you're also the type who likes quietly playing games in the middle of the night and don't really like stuff that's too noisy or grind-heavy, I think you can try this game 'Saving Little Universe.' The graphics and character illustrations are pretty true to the style, and the BGM won't disturb your roommate. Especially when you play with headphones on, you can really get into that 'training together, adventuring together' vibe.
Alright, alright, I really have to go to sleep now, otherwise tomorrow I'll be another overworked office worker showing up with two dark circles under my eyes. One last reminder to myself: tonight—no, forget tonight, I will definitely go to bed early tomorrow night! 🙈 To all you night owls, seeing this post is fate, see you in the game!
