Let me recommend to all my fellow struggling workers my recent favorite for killing time, 'BBQ Sorting Puzzle.' This thing is literally a stress-relief tool made for people like us!
The gameplay is really simple, you just sort the ingredients on the bamboo sticks. Tap a bamboo stick lightly, and the ingredient will fly to another stick, but it has to be the same kind of ingredient to be moved, and just like our workstation—space is limited, you can't just shove things around. At first, I was quite serious about it, but then I got stuck when I got a bit too excited. I was really worried, then I noticed in the lower left corner that you can restart at any time, and I instantly felt relieved 🙏
Do you think this looks like our daily grind? Don't panic when work gets stuck, start over and you're still a hero.
The key is that this game can be played with just one finger. The best part is that when the boss walks by, I just lock the screen, and it looks like I'm seriously contemplating life, but in reality, my mind is full of images of separating meat skewers from green peppers, haha. Also, there's no need to grind or spend money—it's free to download, and you can play as long as you want. There are no stamina points limiting you, and no time-limited events chasing you around. It's much gentler than our project manager who constantly pushes us to meet KPIs every day.
I usually just sit at my workstation, banging on the keyboard so loudly it shakes the room, and then play a couple of rounds while getting a drink. Watching the ingredients line up on the bamboo skewers perfectly satisfies my OCD, feeling better than drinking an iced Americano to wake up.
Honestly, after work, us employees just want to lounge around. Who has the energy to play those grind-heavy games that require forming teams, doing daily tasks, or running dungeons? This BBQ sorting puzzle is the kind of mini-game you can put down and pick up whenever you want. It doesn't require much thinking, just a little bit of idle time, and winning gives a real sense of achievement.
The boss isn't around, sneak in for a round, slack off for five minutes, enjoy two hours of happiness. Anyway, I've already soldered this game to my phone's home screen, just go for it, brothers, I guarantee it's even more addictive than slacking off and scrolling short videos! 🐟🔥
