Just turned off the game, and the birds outside have started singing, yet I'm still in a daze. I promised to sleep at twelve, but ended up strategizing until dawn again. The night owl in me really can't be saved 😇
Lately, this is what I've been playing late into the night. It's an SRPG tactical single-player mobile game set in an alternate historical background, and the protagonist is called Lirou. It really captures the vibe of the Nine Tribes' Chaos; you have to both unite the major tribes and rebuild your own forces, gradually piecing together your dream of 'returning to the Lili Continent.' It's not the kind of mindless tap-tap-tap game—each level requires thinking about positioning, skills, and who goes first. Playing it late at night is especially immersive.
What I like most is that its pace isn't too fast. When it's quiet at night, I put on headphones to listen to the BGM and follow the story line by line, feeling like I've completely fallen into that world. The strategy battles also suit someone like me, whose brain works slowly after staying up late, because I can think things through slowly without needing fast reflexes. It's just... sometimes after finishing one level, I want to see the next part of the story, then another level, and another level, and before I know it, the night has turned to morning 🌙
The plot is pretty intense too. You think it's just about restoring the kingdom and conquering the world, but the martial arts world is still the same as before. Can the young boy from back then still maintain his innocence? Will the princess, the descendant of the fallen royal family, make you forget your mission? And when those people you risked your life to protect leave one by one, can you still hold onto the pure heart of benevolence? I actually got stunned at certain parts while playing. Emotions are fragile at midnight, and I almost broke down in bed 😭
The platform seems to be version 5.0, so maybe even old Android devices can try it? Anyway, it's offline, free of charge, and so far I haven't encountered any pop-ups forcing you to spend money. It's quite friendly to people like me who just want to quietly play strategy games. The developer is Chengdu Xinyue Huyu Network Technology Co., Ltd.
Suitable for people who like strategy games, enjoy slow-paced storylines, and like playing games quietly alone late at night. Not suitable for those who want a quick thrill in ten minutes, or who have to get up early the next day. Don't follow my example; my eyes now feel sore as if covered in sand, and I'm about to go catch up on sleep.
Good night, or good morning? 🐱
