First, thanks to the expert who replied to my post in the music sharing section a few days ago. I was asking if there were any hype tracks suitable for listening to while gaming, and the expert said to try playing 'Ultraman Legend Heroes,' where the battle BGM and beam sound effects are very exciting, and beginners can even get Deckay for free. I was initially worried it would be some kind of ad, but out of curiosity, I downloaded it. My phone is Android 5.0 and above, so I can enter the game. The developer is Hefei Letang Animation, it's marked as free-to-play, and I still haven't spent any money, just playing slowly.
On the first day, I couldn't even recognize all the Ultramen, I only knew Tiga. Following the beginner tutorial, I slowly realized that this is an ARPG, with the left joystick to move, the right side for basic attacks and skills, and also dodge. Fighting small monsters can be done automatically, but I suggest manual control against the Demon Beast; you need to dodge as soon as the red glow appears, otherwise your health drops really fast. The newbie gifts from the Land of Light are quite a lot, so I first completed the seven-day limited-time tasks. The daily requirements aren't hard: check-in, push through stages, level up, collect materials. On the seventh day, I really got Ultraman Deka. At that moment I almost shouted in the dorm; getting it for free felt amazing.
Then I desperately pushed the main storyline, leveled up to 15, and got Geed Ultraman. To be honest, my skills are really bad, but Geed's abilities have a large range and clearing small monsters is more comfortable than with the characters I used before. In the game, you can also collect Ultra Capsules, fuse and evolve them, and unlock different forms. I haven't figured out this system yet; I only know not to spend the materials recklessly. To get Noah Ultraman, you need to accumulate 21 days of log-ins each month. Now, the first thing I do every day when I log in is check in, just in case I miss a day. For Noah, I even set an alarm—being a newbie is really like this 😂.
In terms of gameplay, you form an Ultraman squad, play through the story, fight aliens and monsters, and finally take down the Demon King Beast. Each Ultraman has different skills; some have powerful beams, while others have more melee combos. The battle BGM is really exciting, especially when using ultimate attacks. Listening with headphones feels great, so posting it in the music sharing section seems not entirely off-topic? If the moderator thinks it's inappropriate, please help move it to another section instead of deleting it directly, I worked so hard writing this 😭.
The advantages are quite obvious, I think. The Ultraman IP is well recreated, the skill effects and beams look pretty cool, and the newbie benefits are clearly explained. Characters like Dekai, Geed, and Noah all have ways to obtain them for free, so you can gradually build a team without spending. There are also disadvantages, though. Stamina is a bit insufficient, there's a lot of development to do, like leveling up, skills, equipment, and capsules—I, as a newbie, often don't know which to focus on first. Auto-battle sometimes just stands there, and playing on a phone for a long time causes it to heat up. Still, you can play without spending any money, it just progresses slowly.
Here are a few small tips for beginners like me. Don't miss the seven-day tasks, and make sure to get Dekai first. Push the main storyline to level 15 as soon as possible to obtain Jiede, which will make map progression much easier. Sign in for 21 days each month to get Noah, and it's best to log in at a fixed time each day. Don't spread your resources evenly; focus on building up one main character first, otherwise fighting bosses will be very tough. If you can't win, dodge manually instead of trying to tank, sometimes dodging once is more effective than attacking a few extra times.
Finally, I want to thank the expert who recommended this to me. If it weren't for your casual mention, I might have missed this game. Thanks also to everyone who read this. I'm a newbie looking for guidance, so if anyone wants to play together, you can reply to guide me. My game ID is also 'newbie looking for guidance'. 🙏
