Family, don't rush to say I posted in the wrong section 😂 I've been tired of grinding in Time Hunters recently and wanted to find a silly new game to refresh my mind, so I downloaded 'Goat Simulator', and it was immediately really fun. It was made by Hainan Xingkong Tiaodong Technology Co., Ltd., it's free, and even my old Android 5.0 phone can run it, though don't have too high expectations for the graphics.
The most outrageous thing about this game is that, at its core, it's like an old-school skateboarding game, with inertia, ramps, dashes, and trick falls, but you're not a skater—you're a goat causing chaos everywhere. At the start, when I made the goat take two steps it wobbled, and pressing dash would launch bystanders flying. When the bystanders spun into the air, I burst out laughing; the physics engine is basically a permanent resident of the absurd zone.
The core gameplay is about taking on tasks and causing destruction: hitting fences, licking things, ramming cars, flinging pedestrians, and after completing these, you get money to unlock skins. Don't underestimate that 'licking'—the goat's tongue can stick to quite a few things. One time I licked a small car and swung it around, got it stuck in a wall, while the goat's head was still flopping outside—it was just ridiculous. There's also a skateboarding vibe; find a long ramp to rush down, and once you pick up speed, you can fly really far. If you don't land properly you roll into a ball, but you get up and keep wreaking havoc—somehow very stress-relieving.
The initial experience can be summed up in one word: floaty. The controls aren't very precise; steering and braking are pretty casual. If you try to seriously complete maps, you might get frustrated, but if you treat it as a silly physics simulator, the fun is maximized. A few small tips: prioritize simple tasks like hitting a few specified objects first, since they give money quickly and let you unlock goat skins earlier; don't brake on slopes, just go for it, you can jump higher; don't lick things randomly with your tongue, sometimes sticking to heavy objects can fling you away, which makes for a great spectacle; in crowded areas, don't rush continuously, lower-end machines might lag.
There are also drawbacks: ads pop up, task prompts are sometimes unclear, the physics is too crazy which occasionally causes model glitches, and the later tasks are a bit repetitive. But it's free, so what more can you ask for? It's suitable for playing a couple of rounds in your spare time, just to relieve stress and have fun, and not suitable for those who are looking for high-quality graphics and serious storylines.
In short, this game for me falls into the category of 'looks bizarre, plays silly, and makes you want to play another round after putting it down.' Saying it's 'forever God' might be a bit of an exaggeration, but it really is unexpectedly good. If the brothers of Time and Space Hunters are tired of grinding, you can try this one, anyway it's free, and having a laugh isn't a loss. 😆
